The EU imposed a 95 EUR/MT duty on oilseed meal imports from Russia and Belarus effective 1 July 2024. These two countries supply about 70% of EU rapeseed meal imports, and the EU imports roughly 22 MMT of oilseed meals annually.
The duty could tighten EU supply of rapeseed and sunflower meal, shifting import flows toward Ukraine and other origins and supporting meal prices in Europe.
