Mexico Cancels GM Corn Restrictions, Follows USMCA Ruling- Crop Biotech Update (February 12, 2025)

Mexico lifted GM corn restrictions to comply with the USMCA dispute panel ruling, revoking the former president's decree protecting native corn. The Federal Official Gazette publication nullified Articles 6, 7 and 8 of the 2023 decree.

Administrative actions relying on those provisions are void.
