USDA's Brasilia office cut Brazil's 2024/25 corn output to 126 million tonnes from 128 million, still 5.9% above 2023/24. Brazil's 2024/25 corn exports were reduced to 44 million tonnes, and domestic use was raised to 87.5 million.
Chinese 2025/26 corn imports are projected at 8 million tonnes, half the 2023/24 level.
A smaller Brazilian export forecast tightens supply for global buyers, which is supportive for corn. Weaker Chinese import demand offsets some of that support and favors Brazil and Ukraine over U.S. suppliers.
