Strategie Grains raised its 2025/26 EU grain harvest forecast by 3.4 million tonnes to 278.6 million tonnes, 8.9% above the current season. Soft wheat is forecast at 129.8 million tonnes, up 14.7%, and barley at 52.4 million tonnes, up 5.4%.
A higher EU harvest forecast adds to export competition and weighs on feed grain values. The larger barley and wheat supply reduces EU demand for imported feed ingredients.
