The EU introduced a progressive tax on Russian and Belarusian fertilizer imports, with a 6.5% duty plus a €40/t levy since July. Urea imports from Russia fell by about two-thirds in July and August.
The levy will rise to a maximum of 6.5% plus €430/t by July 2028.
Reduced Russian supply into Europe tightens the European urea market and supports European producers, which can raise prices. The tax also links fertilizer output to EU gas demand.
Setelah 129 peristiwa kebijakan bullish sebelumnya, Urea bergerak median -0,1% selama 5 sesi (47% lebih tinggi; separuh tengah -1,3% sampai +2,3%), dan +1,4% selama 20 sesi.
