USDA's December report raised its 2025/26 global barley production forecast by 3.12 million tons to 152.94 million tons. Increases were concentrated in the EU, Canada, Australia and Russia.
The report also raised global wheat production by 8.92 million tons.
A larger world barley and wheat crop adds supply and pressures feed grain prices. Ukraine's barley forecast was unchanged, so the increase is concentrated in other exporters.
