Dairy cattle in Texas, Kansas test positive for bird flu

The Texas Animal Health Commission and USDA confirmed Type A H5N1 avian influenza in dairy cattle in Texas and Kansas. The virus is affecting older dairy cows in those states and in New Mexico, causing illness in the herds.
