The UN reviewed three months of the Black Sea Grain Initiative, signed on 22 July 2022 to reopen exports from Chernomorsk, Odesa and Yuzhny. Before the war Ukraine supplied more than 45 million tonnes of grain a year, and the blockade had contributed to a global food crisis.
The corridor's record of restoring Ukrainian grain flows is what made its suspension a concern for wheat and corn supply, though this review adds no new price driver.
