USDA's November WASDE lowered U.S. soybean yield to 51.7 bpa, cutting production by 121 million bushels, while exports fell 25 million bushels and crush 15 million, so ending stocks dropped 80 million. Corn yield was lowered to a record 183.1 bpa, and corn and soybeans rose after the report.
The yield cut was partly offset by lower demand, leaving soybean stocks ample, so the price lift is likely to be modest. Corn stocks also tightened but remain comfortable.
