Chicago corn futures rose 4% to about $151.8/t after the US-China phase one trade agreement was announced, which cancelled the December 15 tariff increase and reduced existing duties. Weekly US corn export sales rose but remained well below last year's pace, and Argentina's export suspension and higher duty were cited as supportive.
