CBOT soybeans closed higher on forecasts of stressful US crop weather, with August beans reaching their highest since March. Hot and dry weather over the next 10 days was expected to significantly increase crop stress across the central and southern Midwest, while soymeal rose $3.50 and soyoil fell 0.26 cent.
Expected Midwest heat and dryness raise the risk of lower soybean yields and tighter meal supply, supporting soybean and soymeal prices. Soyoil weakness reflects a different balance in the oil complex.
