> Safras & Mercado raised its forecast for Brazil’s 2026/27 corn crop by about 6 million tonnes to a record 151.7 million tonnes. ## Why it matters

A larger crop estimate points to greater domestic and export availability, which can weigh on corn prices if realized. The record forecast is a meaningful bearish supply signal.
