# Russia's wheat exports plummet as southern ports remain shut

> IKAR cut its 2026/27 Russian wheat export forecast from 42 million to 39.5 million tonnes as attacks on shipping keep southern ports largely closed. Russian wheat exports from July through October fell to 10.3 million tonnes, compared with 16.9 million tonnes a year earlier.
