# Ukraine grain exports: how rail transport volumes changed in October

> Ukraine shipped nearly 1.3 million tonnes of grain by rail for export in October, about 25% more than in September. Ukrzaliznytsia transported nearly 1.6 million tonnes of grain cargo overall during the month, with 683,000 tonnes routed through western border crossings and very little rail cargo moving through Greater Odesa ports.
