# Pork producers on rescue law: They welcome pork remaining exempt from VAT, but higher taxes on corn and soy could raise production costs

> Colombian pork producers supported the government’s Economic Rescue Law but warned that raising VAT on key production inputs from 5% to 19% could increase sector costs and strain cash flow.
