# Saskatchewan harvest 99 per cent complete as southwest producers report improved yields

> Saskatchewan’s 2026 harvest was 99% complete by October 20–26, with only a few later-seeded crops still in the fields. Yields were generally near the 10-year average, while late-season rain and pest activity downgraded some crops; above-average summer moisture supported development in the southwest.

## Why it matters

A largely completed harvest with average yields suggests broadly normal provincial supplies, limiting any price impact; quality downgrades may affect the availability of higher-grade crops.
