> Recent rainfall has disrupted corn and sorghum harvesting in U.S. farming regions, and a weekend freeze is forecast for some eastern areas. The U.S. sorghum harvest was 64% complete as of November 1, below the five-year average of 78%, with Kansas and Nebraska particularly behind.

## Why it matters

Delayed fieldwork can tighten the remaining harvest window and add pressure on producers and grain handlers. Slower movement of corn and sorghum to market could support prices in the near term.
