# Argentina exported 4.2 million tonnes of soybeans in nine months, almost 45% less than in 2025

> Argentina shipped 4.199 million tonnes of soybeans from January through September 2026, down 44.9% from the same period in 2025. September exports reached 1.022 million tonnes, the third-highest September volume since 2021, but the late-month recovery did not offset the year-to-date decline.

## Why it matters

Lower export flows mean less Argentine soybean supply in international markets, which can lend support to soybean prices; the September rebound partly offsets that signal.
