# PR 2026/27 Crop: Soybean planting reaches 71% of expected area

> Soybean planting in Paraná advanced over the past week, reaching 71% of the more than 5.7 million hectares planned for the 2026/27 crop, but remains behind the pace of the previous three seasons. Excess rain has restricted field access and, along with reduced sunlight and below-normal temperatures, slowed crop development; 85% of fields were rated good, down from 88% the week before.
