# EFPRA calls for EU rule changes to expand animal protein use in aquafeed

> The European Fat Processors and Renderers Association called for changes to EU rules on processed animal proteins, saying current restrictions limit the use of animal by-product meals in feed, including aquafeed. It says Europe imports more than 13 million tonnes of soy protein annually while producing over three million tonnes of feed-grade protein meals from animal by-products.
