# Arkansas Farmers Wrap Up Harvest Amid Drought Concerns and Mixed Crop Yields

> Arkansas soybean harvest was 94% complete as of November 4, with cotton at 92% and peanuts at 78%. Dry autumn weather helped harvesting progress, but summer heat and drought contributed to reports of soybean yields of 30–40 bushels per acre in some fields that had appeared capable of producing 70–80 bushels; these reports are not statewide averages.

## Why it matters

Heat and drought-related yield losses could reduce Arkansas soybean availability and support local soybean prices, though the reported field results do not establish a statewide production decline.
