# Winter Vegetable Area Jumps Nearly 36%, Livestock Herds Ready to Supply Tet Demand

> Vietnam's statistics agency reported that winter vegetable planting area increased 35.8%, while more than 955,000 hectares of the summer-autumn rice crop had been harvested. The seasonal rice area planted was 1.3699 million hectares, down 40,400 hectares from a year earlier, and livestock and poultry herds were growing ahead of the year-end peak demand period.
