# H5N1 and H9N2 antibodies detected in apparently healthy livestock in Egypt

> A serological study sampled 444 apparently healthy animals from 33 small farms in three northern Egyptian governorates between October 2024 and January 2026. H5N1 antibodies were found in 4.5% of animals, all cattle, and H9N2 antibodies were found in cattle, sheep and goats.
