# USD exchange rate drops most in one month

> On the evening of 5 November, several Vietnamese banks cut their USD buying and selling rates by 150-200 dong from the morning, the sharpest one-month drop. The bank-channel rate fell to its lowest level in 21 months, with VietinBank buying near 25,255 dong.

## Why it matters
