# Soy prices under pressure: US election result weighs on oilseed market

> Chicago soybean futures fell further after the Democrats' midterm victory, with the January 2027 contract down 11.75 cents to $12.02/bu. Euronext wheat for December 2026 dropped 1.25 euros to 224.00 EUR/t, and CBOT December wheat lost 1.25 cents, after new data showed Ukrainian wheat exports in October fell about 8.6% from September to roughly 950,000 tonnes. Traders said the election result raised doubts about whether China would honour its farm purchase commitments.
