# USD Falls Below 25,900 Dong; How Is the Year-End Exchange Rate Expected to Move?

> On November 5, the State Bank of Vietnam's central USD/VND rate was set at 25,623 dong, down 4 dong from the prior session. Commercial banks quoted selling rates around 25,880-25,895 dong per USD. The US dollar index fell 0.3% to about 101.23 after Democrats won control of both houses of Congress in the midterm elections, and the 10-year Treasury yield dropped to about 4.92%.
