# US Natural Gas Prices Slip Ahead of Storage Data

> US natural gas prices slipped to around $2.94 per MMBtu on Thursday after two sessions of gains, as traders awaited the weekly storage report. Milder weather and subdued demand let companies inject more gas into storage, with inventories expected 1.4% above normal. LNG feedgas flows to the nine major US export terminals fell to 18.1 bcfd so far in November from 18.4 bcfd in October.

## Why it matters

Ample storage and weak heating demand point to continued pressure on US gas prices, which feed into fertilizer (nitrogen) costs and ethanol and DDGS economics. Lower domestic output limited the losses.
