# Abundant US corn and decline in European wheat

> Chicago wheat fell 2.4% after USDA's October estimates raised the US corn crop to 16.034 billion bushels, above the 15.8 billion expected in September, with yield at 181.2 bushels per acre. Euronext December wheat closed down about 0.9% at 242 euros per tonne, and a stronger euro against the dollar also weighed on European prices.
