# To Ease Feed Costs, Government Releases Corn Supply at Rp5,500 per Kilo for Farmers

> The Indonesian government plans to sell 100,000-150,000 tonnes of corn through state logistics agency Bulog at a cost price of Rp5,500 per kg. The aim is to help small and medium enterprises and poultry farmers facing higher feed prices during a long dry season.

## Why it matters

Releasing state corn stocks at a fixed price adds supply to the domestic market and should cap local corn prices. The scale is significant relative to recent domestic price levels.
