# Biofuel Feedstock Use Drops 2% as Soybean Oil Declines

> The US Energy Information Administration reported that biofuel feedstock use totaled 30.7 billion pounds in August, down from 31.3 billion in July. Soybean oil use fell 17% to 1.4 billion pounds, mainly due to lower use at renewable diesel plants, while corn use rose 0.7% to 26.8 billion pounds.
