# Compound feed: cattle drive production, but raw materials worry the sector

> French compound feed output fell 0.3% year on year in August 2026 to 1.47 million tonnes. Cattle feed rose 8.8% while pig and poultry feed fell 6.9% and 3.1%. SNIA and La Coopération Agricole Nutrition Animale warned that drought is squeezing forage and raw material availability and called for a rapid body bringing together the sector's chains.
