# ALERT: SUPA Strike at Exolgan Continues Indefinitely

> The Unidos Portuarios Argentinos union (SUPA) began a total work stoppage at Exolgan SA on Tuesday, covering its Capital Federal and Dock Sud operations. The dispute centers on the company's refusal to move its stevedores from the truck drivers' union agreement to the port union's agreement. The strike has no set end date.

## Why it matters

A stoppage at a single Argentine port terminal can delay grain and oilseed loadings and add to shipping backlogs, which can briefly support export freight costs and nearby cash prices. The effect is likely limited to one terminal unless the action spreads to other facilities.
