# Dollar hits 1.5-year low against dong

> The US dollar fell to its lowest level against the Vietnamese dong in about 1.5 years, with Vietcombank selling at VND25,930. The dollar also weakened broadly after early US midterm results showed Democrats gaining ground. The dollar index fell 0.3% to 101.4.
