> AgRural reports Brazil's 2026/27 soybean planting reached 53% of planned area through October 29, up from 40% a week earlier and 47% a year ago. Summer corn planting in the Centre-South reached 63%, with southern planting slowed by wet, cloudy weather.

## Why it matters

Planting ahead of last year supports expectations of timely Brazilian soy supply, a bearish factor for soy and meal, though wet conditions in the South may trim yields.
