# Transport unions declare 'state of alert' in solidarity with Puerto Rosario dockworkers

> The transport workers' union UGATT declared a permanent state of alert in solidarity with dockworkers at Terminal Puerto Rosario, who are fighting for job continuity and higher wages. The dockworkers' federation FEPA accused the concession holders of attempting a covert labor reform through longer working hours and dismissals of hundreds of workers. A national port strike could follow in coming days.
