# California Port Strike Possible

> Security workers at the Los Angeles and Long Beach ports have threatened to strike if no contract is agreed this week. The US Meat Export Federation says about two-thirds of waterborne beef exports and half of waterborne pork exports pass through West Coast ports, and congestion is already building in Southern California.
