# US factories speed up as truck capacity keeps shrinking

> US factory output grew at its fastest pace since November 2021 in October, with ISM's production index at 59.0 and headline manufacturing PMI at 55.5. Over the same period, DAT reported 10.93 posted loads per posted dry van truck, against 6.37 a year earlier, and its van spot rate rose to $2.23 a mile.
