# Grain ethanol producers seek higher prices, changes in government purchase rules

> Grain ethanol makers asked the Indian government to revise 2026-27 purchase prices and supply rules. The government barred oil marketing companies from buying cane-juice and B-heavy molasses ethanol from November 2026 to October 2027.
