# Ringgit may weaken against dollar, but outperform regional peers

> HSBC expects the ringgit to trade between RM4.10 and RM4.20 against the US dollar in 2027, weaker than its current RM4.05-RM4.10 range. HSBC says it should still outperform the Thai baht, Indonesian rupiah and Philippine peso, but underperform the yuan and South Korean won.
