# Morocco to Donate 20,000 Tons of Fertilizers to Guinea

> Morocco agreed to donate 20,000 tons of fertilizer to Guinea out of 100,000 tons supplied under an OCP memorandum signed at a royal ceremony in Conakry. The remaining 80,000 tons will be sold at prices expected to reduce or eliminate Guinean fertilizer subsidies.

## Why it matters

The volume is small relative to global phosphate trade, so the deal has little direct price impact beyond signalling OCP's African expansion.
