# SEBI allows trading of soya oil in the Exchanges

> SEBI, India's markets regulator, is moving to allow futures trading in degummed soya oil on all exchanges. The decision follows a growing edible oil deficit and imports of about 4.2 million tonnes of degummed soya oil between November 2015 and October 2016, mainly from Argentina and Brazil.
