# Bans on poultry product imports bear watching by U.S. livestock producers

> South Korea banned imports of all uncooked US poultry and egg products on March 6 after highly pathogenic H7 avian influenza was found on a Tennessee farm. Taiwan banned poultry products from Tennessee and Wisconsin, and Japan and Hong Kong also imposed restrictions. The US exports about 18% of its poultry production.
