# Crop and livestock market update - Commercial Farmers' Union of Zimbabwe

> Zimbabwe's Commercial Farmers' Union expects the 2016/17 maize harvest to be 1.2 to 1.4 million tonnes, well above 2016 levels, despite late rains and fall armyworm. Stocks are estimated at 300,000 to 400,000 tonnes, so imports are expected to be minimal. Soybean prices are above import parity, and cottonseed and cotton meal are priced locally.
