# India: Reduced quantity restrictions on export of certain agricultural products - Global Trade Alert

> India's Ministry of Commerce exempted exports of organic wheat, non-Basmati rice, edible oils and sugar from quantitative ceilings on 19 April 2017. The ceiling on organic pulses and lentils was also raised from 10,000 to 50,000 metric tons per year.
