# Palm Oil News - Is it Right, PFMA Increases CPO Price?

> InfoSAWIT reports that Indonesia's palm oil fund agency credits its biodiesel B20 program for higher CPO prices, but the article says the claim is unproven. CPO prices fell from US$824.4 per tonne in January to US$691.25 in April 2017, with May expected near US$720.

## Why it matters

The article notes a steady downtrend in CPO prices driven by weather, supply and demand, while biodiesel mandates are a policy support that is hard to quantify.
