# GDT falls as US milk supply hits record level -  Premium

> The Global Dairy Trade index fell 0.8% at its latest auction, its first decline in over six events, with whole milk powder down more than 3%. Butter and anhydrous milk fat rose, while cheddar, lactose and casein fell. US milk output hit record April and May volumes, up about 2% year on year.
