# EU Crop Monitor MARS lowers forecasts for wheat, barley

> The EU MARS crop monitoring service lowered its wheat yield forecast to 5.86 t/ha from 5.91 t/ha, and its barley and maize forecasts were also trimmed. The cuts follow dry and hot weather in June. Rapeseed yield was raised slightly.
