# The USDA increased the forecast of sunflower crop for Ukraine

> In its July report, the USDA raised its 2017/18 Black Sea sunflower production forecast by 600,000 tonnes to 28.2 million tonnes, with Ukraine up 500,000 tonnes and Moldova up 100,000 tonnes. Ukrainian sunflower oil exports are projected to rise 2% to 5.2 million tonnes.
