# Exporters want PM to protect Basmati sales to Europe

> Indian rice exporters asked Prime Minister Modi to press the EU to delay by two years its cut in the tricyclazole residue limit for Basmati rice from 1 ppm to 0.01 ppm, due in January 2018. The Commerce Ministry planned to send a delegation to Brussels to resolve the issue.
