# DAP fertiliser prices rise sharply

> Vietnamese DAP fertiliser prices rose sharply, by VNĐ1.5-1.9 million (US$66-84) per tonne, ahead of a temporary safeguard tax on imported DAP that takes effect August 19. NPK prices also rose VNĐ300,000-500,000 per tonne because DAP is a main input.
